A Pioneer of Mammography Speaks out about Mammography vs Thermography
Guest Carol Conti. A pioneer in the field of mammography for over 36 years, Carol brings a wealth of information to the table. However, diagosed herself with breast cancer last year shook Carol into a massive revelation about mammography. October is breast awareness month. Ladies, this is an incredible education on the history of mammography and its active role in breast health assessment. Certain to be controversial regarding the amount of radiation from a mammogram, but if we bring thermography in for our younger women (under 40) with dense breast tissue, breast augmentation, fibrocystic breasts, pregnant and lactating women....we can realize a much higher rate of detecting breast disease, much sooner than with mammography alone. The bottom line is that between thermography, mammography and clinical breast examinations, we are realizing 97% accuracy of detection. No one single technology is sufficient in screening for breast cancer. Thermography is an incedible breast imaging adjunct tool that all women should be utilizing to greatly increase their chances of detecting breast disease before a mass develops. Thermography has no radiation, no compression and is non contact. Breast cancer was recently diagnosed in a 10 year old girl in California! Any age is safe for thermography. It is never too early to start monitoring your breast health.
